Switzerland: a lack of humanity

Iscu V., incarcerated since 2015, shares his pain

Iscu V. is incarcerated under the lifelong detention measure in the canton of Neuchâtel. He is subjected to constant noise, struggles to access care, and faces uncertainty as to when his sentence will end. He voices his lack of means to hold the Swiss prison administration accountable.

I remained in the wing for new arrivals, unable to sleep, day or night, for three months.

I had serious issues with my neck and spine. Despite this, my detention conditions remained the same.

I keep explaining my unbearable health conditions to the prison administration, outlining their failure to provide sufficient access to medical care.
