USA : violence and humiliation in Alaska

On September 19, 2017, the Office of the Ombudsman of Alaska (United States) released a report on a complaint filed about a 2013 incident.

On 16 August 2013, Correctional officers of Spring Creek Correctional Center(Seward, Alaska, USA) made twelve prisoners leave their cells and made them get undressed. **They made them walk naked and handcuffed on a leash in front of the female supervisory staff. ** The prisoners were then put into prisons cells with no clothes, blankets, or mattresses for up to 12 consecutive hours. The temperature did not rise above 10 degrees.

A prisoner filed a complaint in 2013 with the Ombudsman of Alaska. Eleven other inmates confirmed the authenticity of his story.
The director of the penitentiary did not dispute the facts.
