Torments of a life behind bars - prose poem (Colombia)

To tell the untellable Ricardo has turned to writing.

He has been imprisoned for nine years in Colombia and has decided to share with Prison Insider the torments of a life behind bars. His pen helps him reflect on the questions that obsess those deprived of liberty: abandonment by loved ones, fear of oblivion, regrets, resilience…

He also opens up about his memories and hopes, a hope that shelters him while he awaits his return home and a hope that emerges from watching his country be reborn. Prose that reckons with his lost time confined by four walls.
A prose poem.

"It is worth dying for all those things without which it is not worth living." — Salvador Allende
